Self-study work (homework) is part of your “electronic portfolio.” Your electronic portfolio will also include (a) at least two pieces of creative writing (b), at least two reading-to-write tasks and (c) all of your posts to this writing blog. In addition, for all of your class project work, you will need to take pictures of each page and convert these into PDF files (these can be submitted by DropBox and/or email.

Portfolio [noun | 4 syllables: port·fo·li·o]
 A large, thin, flat case for loose sheets of paper such as drawings or maps
 A set of pieces of creative work collected by someone to display their skills
 A collection of your written work during this semester

 

Organising your digital portfolio

In the final week of the semester, you will “share” a link to your “Level Two English Writing” folder via DropBox.

In your “Level Two English Writing” folder, you will have PDF files of:
All projects and timed writing assessments
Vocabulary tests
Model descriptive reports and opinion-based essays
Grammar worksheets (e.g. Comparative and Superlative adjectives)
Class worksheets (e.g. How to write Task II introductions)
Homework (including examples of your creative writing)
Every file in your portfolio must be clearly and logically named.

You should choose the subject or topic areas that are of most interest to you:

My plans for the future (after I graduate from university).

The best day of my life (so far).

Life at the university hostel compared to life at home with my family.

All about my best friend.

The most important person in my life.

The things I like and dislike about learning English.
